Q. What is this all about?

Read A book is a book sharing community. Our aim is to promote reading by providing free access to books.

 

Q. What kind of books you have? Do you have technical books?

Currently, we have only fictions & non-fiction. We want you to read more stories :)

 

Q. Can I get Hindi or Kannada books?

Currently, our collection is limited to only English titles. But as the community grows larger, we get more books in different languages. Soon...

 

Q. How can I borrow the book? (#borrow)

Fill in the form in the "Borrow Book" section, with your contact details and the book you want to read. If available:

- the book can be picked up from one of our pick-up locations

- the book can be picked up at our monthly meetup

- or can be sent to you for a delivery charge of Rs. 50. 

 

Q. How long does it take to get the book?

Immediately, if you pick up the book from us or at a meetup. Otherwise, if you opt for home delivery, it should be delivered within a week. 

 

Q. How do I return the borrowed book? (#return)

You can either drop the book at one of our locations. Or send us the book via post/courier.

Q. Is this service available, around the world?

We wish. But currently, we are providing the service in Bengaluru, Karnataka (India).

 

Q. Is the book mine? Or do I have to return it?

Keep the book like yours with love and care. RETURN the book once you have read the book. ONLY BORROW!!!

 

Q. How long can I keep the book?

4 weeks

 

Q. Can I share my books?

Obviously YES. Please get the book you would like to share at our monthly meetup and you can share with interested readers.

 

Q. How I get back my shared book?

You need to check with the reader who borrowed your book, during the meetup.

 

Q. Can I donate my old or unused books?

YES YES YES!!! You are our savior. Please send us an email: (with your contact details) contact@readabook.in and we will take care of the rest.
